Most of the time "Cheating" is when your character does it while Netorare is when your character gets cheated on.
Netorare also tends to be far more... harsh to put it in simpler terms. It likes to hit right in the feels. With the LI being outright completely stolen and the MC being humiliated and ruined by the guy doing the stealing being a common theme.

In Japan, NTR can mean either (ETA - see: NTR Legend), as well as scenarios where the protagonist is the one getting taken (which the tagging rules here miserably fail to acknowledge as something that needs to be distinguished from 'just plain' cheating).

ETA: on topic, is this MTL, a fan translation, official English by somebody on the dev team who's so bad at English it might as well be MTL, or what?

Netorare involves the unwilling participation and eventual corruption of the partner (usually a wimmen). Cheating is the partner just actively consenting to screwing behind someones back

So.... can some1 guide me through the Netorare here?. MC isn´t interested in the girl, so it´s not a LI. right? What she does/doesn´t do is completely ok for the MC. What Am I missing?
